We stayed in a luxury villa for a week in Le Lavandou, courtesy of our friend Maureen Wheeler. We explored Le Lavandou and the surrounding area by car as train service bypasses the area many kilometers north. It makes the region quite a lot more exclusive than the French Riviera, and there are many hillside villas, vacation cottages, and campgrounds.
